Suicide Prevention Outreach and Education

Suicide is a major public health problem in Oklahoma and, therefore, is an important area that HeartLine continues to focus on growing. HeartLine strives to educate the public on how to prevent suicide. HeartLine is accredited by the American Association of Suicidology, listed on the Suicide Prevention Resource Center’s Best Practices Registry and is approved by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

Many factors can contribute to someone considering suicide. But there is hope. HeartLine’s suicide prevention programs equip Oklahoma communities with the knowledge and intervention skills necessary to prevent suicide and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness

Here are some tips on how to talk to someone you love about suicide.
