Suicide Prevention Vision: To prevent suicide through education, intervention, and awareness. Oklahoma ranks 8th in the nation for deaths by suicide. HeartLine works towards their suicide prevention vision by:
- Answering the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 24/7, 365 days a year
- Offering our HELP youth suicide prevention program to the Oklahoma City metro area
- Providing HALT, an online course for caregivers of the elderly

- Depression
Warning signs:
- Talking or joking about death
- Giving away prized possessions
- Significant changes in behavior
- Increased alcohol or drug use
- Withdrawing from friends/family
- Lack of interest in regular activities
- Discussing suicide plan
- Increased hostility and aggression
How can you help?
- Tell them about 1-800-275 TALK(8255)
- Contact a mental health care professional
- Call 911 for a wellness check
- Never leave someone at immediate risk alone
